Arcade Records under licence from RCA, released this double album containing some of Elvis' biggest hits. It was heavily promoted on TV and proved to be very popular by it's sales. The labels came in various colours as it was repressed quite frequently. This album and "A Legendary Performer, Volume 1", sold in larger quantities than Elvis recent new releases. The common factor was that these releases contained material recorded earlier in Elvis' career.
This LP consistently re-entered the charts over the years and reached number one shortly after Elvis died in 1977.
