UK Album No. (02)

Elvis' 2nd UK album was titled "Rock 'n' Roll No. 2", while in the U.S. it was simply called "Elvis". They both had the same tracklisting, but used a different front and rear cover. The UK front cover used a September 1956 publicity shot (around the same time the albums material was recorded).

NOTE: This LP was issued using the matrix number G2WP, (G = 1956, 2 = RCA Popular Music Release, W = Country and Western Genre, P = Mono) this was part of the RCA system not EMI. The reason could be because it had the same tracklisting as it's American counterpart. Pressings also had the R/T (1956) and X/T (1957) stamped around the spindle hole.
Side 1: G2WP 7207 Side 2: G2WP 7207

This album was later re-issued by RCA in December 1962. Using both mono and electronic stereo formats. (RD/SF 7528).
