In January 1973, Elvis performed two shows in Hawaii as part of his worldwide satellite TV broadcast. The show on the 12th is now widely known as the "rehearsal show" while the concert two days later on the 14th, was selected to be broadcast. Elvis looked and sounded great, but without the energy seen in "That's The Way It Is" and "Elvis On Tour". This double LP was actually incomplete with some songs omitted from the tracklisting, possibly due to limitation regarding running times. Early copies contained an insert

This is probably one of Elvis' weaker seventies studio albums. A highlight possibly being "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right", a Bob Dylan cover, recorded during a jam session in the studio in 1971. The front cover used a photo taken from his live performance in Hawaii.

NOTE: American albums could be found in U.K. sleeves, while Canadian pressing were also found but they used the U.K. catalogue number.

NOTE: RCA In the U.S. had recently introduced a worldwide cataloging system. They incorporated APL1 as the first part of the new system. (A = American     P = VICTOR    L = Stereo LP    1 = Single LP). This U.K. album was the last to retain the SF prefix.

This album contained material recorded at Stax Studios in Memphis. It wasn't as strong as his previous work recorded in his hometown. The sleeve had the same February 1973 live Las Vegas photo on both sides.

NOTE: Due to "production problems" at the RCA U.K. Washington pressing plant, American copies of this album were imported into the U.K. Later small quantities of this LP were pressed in the U.K., but were hard to locate at the time. They have always been sought after among record collectors.

NOTE: This album was the first Elvis LP to use the new worldwide cataloging system where the matrix number now matched the catalogue number.
