Even though it bore the same title, this album is not a re-issue of the original Christmas album. Firstly the four gospel tracks were omitted and replaced with two new songs: "If Every Day Was Like Christmas" originally released as an A-sided single in 1966 and "Mama Liked the Roses" which recently accompanied the "Wonder of You" single in July. The front cover used a publicity shot from the movie "Speedway".
