Yet another soundtrack album, Elvis' sixteenth. The theme for this one was based around being an employee at a carnival. This life is something the Colonel knew a lot about. The songs were a bit stronger on this album and it reached number one in the United States.

This album was kept in stock by issuing re-pressings with the same catalogue number until it was deleted by RCA in November 1970.
